Expert help, right where you are. Whether you are freshly postpartum or breastfeeding a toddler, home visits are covered by most insurance providers. However, if your insurance does not cover visits or you are uninsured, we do not turn anyone away for financial circumstance. We are happy to work with you to ensure you receive care.
In Home Lactation Visit
A lactation consultant will arrive with all tools needed to provide a full scope appointment, including a portable infant scale. During your visit, you will be encouraged to inform your specialist about your journey so far, as well as present your main questions and concerns. Most initial visits will include a weighted feeding, physical evaluation of parent and baby, latching & positioning help, breast pump education with proper flange fitting, and a detailed plan of action.

The lack of insurance coverage should not prevent any family from receiving necessary medical care.
No one will be turned away for their inability to afford services due to lack of coverage. For these scenarios I offer a Pay What You Can/ Donation based appointment.
For reference, a typical cash pay appointment is billed at $100 for 1st assessment and $75 for follow ups.
Suggested amounts for discounted appointments are $50 for 1st assessment and $35 for follow ups. If this is still outside of your ability, we will find a way to make it work for you on a as needed basis.
